Are you looking for the results for the ultra distance event Storuman Gravel XL? They are on its own page with all Storuman Gravel XL results.
Storuman Gravel is a non-competitive event that takes place on open roads where traffic laws apply and cars are mixed with cyclists. There is certainly very little traffic where we have placed the courses, but cars may show up. Therefore, it’s extremely important that participants are careful out on the course, and as an organizer, we must therefore ensure that the format of the event is such that participants are not tempted to take risks in traffic. Consequently, we do not proclaim a winner, we have no placements, no performance prizes or podiums, and we have neither course records nor sprint distances.
However, many people still like to have course timing and find it interesting to be able to see what times others got. We believe that with a solid non-competitive format for the event, a presentation of overall results is doesn’t significantly raise the temperature, so we have gone as far as possible within the cycling federation’s rules for non-competitive events. This means that timekeeping is allowed, and in fact also to show all participants’ results as long as it’s not sorted on time and there’s no placements awarded.
The timing is somewhat approximate (it differ a few seconds) and if several people enter in a bunch, they all get the same time.
In the statistics table the median time is the time that half the participants are slower than and the other half faster.
Note: according to Swedish tradition for non-competitive events the results are presented ordered on start number only, to make it clear that no placements are awarded.
The event took place in tough weather with rain and cold. The roads were soft and slow-rolling by the rain, so it took longer time than usual to get through the courses.
Storuman Gravel 2020 was a strictly social non-competitive event. This means we had even stricter limitations on the presentation of results to keep that classification. For this year you only got to see your own time, so there is no result list here.
